The term Middle East is thought to have originated in the 1850's and is a frequently used expression for the area spanning from Northern Africa to Western Asia. The 3 notable areas for liveaboard diving are Egypt, Sudan and the lesser-known Oman.
Egypt located on the northeastern tip of Africa, Sudan to the south of Egypt and Oman in the neighbouring Arabian Sea with its liveaboard diving in the Musandam Peninsula.
The Middle East has a warm and dry year round climate which makes it one of the few places offering liveaboard diving every day of the year. The seasons are usually split into just summer and winter, with summer starting in April through to October.
