The Mermaid I is a great ship, accommodation is very good as
is the food. But the crew is really excellent! This includes
the dive guides, captain, dinghy boys etc. The underwater world
is intact and has lots of small and rare animals like the sea
horse, ghost pipe fish, frog fish and many juvenile fish species.
Of course the big fish can swim along but in that case we were
not so lucky. Still there was enough to see and be kept very
busy.
Also the accommodation next door to the centre was convenient
and good. Karon beach is a nice place, not too crowded and
has nice restaurants. The car rental was very good, we drove
round the island and it brought back many memories of 10 years
ago. To be short: two weeks weren’t enough and I am afraid
we have to come back. I have included some photo's, they are
made by one of the guests of the Mermaid I. Her name is Marta
Chantal she is from Portugal and she made some very nice underwater
pictures.
The bookings through you where very good. You gave all the
right information and we had nice contact by email. It gave
me a very good feeling and this proved to be true.
Next time we will be using your services again. Thanks for
