Un-spoilt Liveaboard Diving in Sudan's Red Sea

Destination

Sudan has become a recent addition for liveaboard diving. As a new destination Sudan offers the rare opportunity to visit some of the most un-spoilt reefs in the Red Sea. Using only a select handful of liveaboards accommodation quality is not compromised. Sudan liveaboard diving also offers the rare opportunity to experience a longer liveaboard trip of up to 14 days, usually managing to get over 40 amazing red sea dives. In terms of marine life Sudan delivers in abundance. Sharks are one of the main diving attractions in Sudan most commonly seen are hammer heads, grey reef, white tip reef, silkies, silver tips, tigers, lemon and least common are the whale sharks. Regulars are schools of bumphead parrot fish plus all the usual Red Sea residents enjoying the un-spoilt, pristine waters of Sudan. Along with the excellent quality of marine life Sudan has 2 wrecks to enjoy, The Umbria which is a World War 2 wreck with lots of munitions still onboard plus 3 cars, the second wreck is the Blue Belt with her cargo of Toyota vehicles lying scattered on the reef.

Diving here can be challenging it is recommended to have at least 50 logged dives.
