MV Sting Ray - Liveaboard

MV Sting Ray is 31m length Liveaboard, built in a solid wooden construction in 2001 and it combines Maldivian boat building tradition with a maximum of modern engineering. She offers an expansive sun deck with sun loungers and mats, quarter of the deck is partly roofed over with seats for added shade. Stairs and platform with ladder for easy access from the great dive deck. The 75 sqm saloon is equipped with TV/VCR/DVD and Hi -Fi System.
MV Sting Ray has 9 comfortable, air-conditioned cabins The first deck is where all 9 cabins are located. As you come down the stairs the first and facing cabin are double rooms. The next two rooms are also double rooms but with the option of accommodating a child, as an elevated bed is provided. The other 5 rooms are all twin rooms. Crew quarters are also located o this deck but are separated from the guest area.
The Kitchens will supply during your trip, full board 3 meals, a balanced mixture of local and European cuisine. Coffee and tea included around the clock. After diving, fresh coconut or biscuits are served. Fresh fruit juice, soft drinks, cocktails, liquors, wine and draft beer are available from the bar.

The route of your trip will be individually discussed on your arrival to Sting Ray. When planning an itinerary we consider your preferences, the weather conditions and the duration of your stay. The standard route takes you to North Male' Atoll, South Male' Atoll, Ari Atoll. Vaavu Atoll, Meemu Atoll, Baa and Lhaviyani Atolls are touched on longer voyages. A typical cruise would take you through some of the best dive sites and lets you experience some fishing villages.

Diving
- Please bring your log book and diving certification card.
- The first dive is a check dive - obligatory for all divers.
- PADI courses available on board.
- All diving equipment remains on the escorting diving boat during the safari.
- Dives are performed according Maldivian law and PADI standards - no decompression dives, buddy system, maximum depth is 33m for AOWD or equivalent, for OWD or equivalent certified divers 20m depth maximum (Maldivian diving regulation).
- Last dive 24h before flight back
- Use of diving computer is obligatory
- English is onboard language
- DAN diving insurance (valid max. 21 days) for US$ 10 bookable on board

- Step 4 - We will send you an invoice and payment request. Payments are required within 7 days of booking to confirm your trip. We cannot guarantee your booking without payment. Last minute bookings will require immediate online payment.
- Step 5 - Once payment is received we will supply your receipt and confirm any additional details regarding your trips logistics.
