Wind Dancer - Liveaboard


The quality of accommodation and service from the Wind Dancer liveaboard is excellent. Limited to very few divers at a time Cocos Island is on many divers wish lists. This sought after drift diving destination delivers you to one of the most concentrated large animal marine encounters in the world. The Wind Dancer itinerary covers the Cocos Island National Park.

Wind Dancer can accommodate 22 guests within 9 well appointed staterooms each has air-conditioning and en-suite facilities plus 2 newly constructed luxury suites.

The lounge and dining area features modern entertainment equipment, quality furnishings it also makes the perfect place to relax and cool off. There is also a choice of 2 sundecks, one covered and one open. Both give excellent views of the stunning Cocos Island, you should also keep watch for passing dolphins and whale sharks.

The ample dive deck gives each diver plenty of space and the Wind Dancer dives are made from 2 dive tenders, each capable of carrying 11 divers plus crew.

Agent Liveaboard verdict: Wind Dancer gives a truly an incredible liveaboard journey around Cocos Island. It is a divers dream both below and above the waters of this World Heritage Site.

Itinerary sites
Alcyone: A 600'   long submerged mountain, the top of the mountain is 75'  from the surface. Schooling Hammerheads, Mantas and schooling fish. Possible Sailfish or Marlin.
Big Dos Amigos: This islet features a 45-foot-high arch and 60-foot pinnacle off the southeast side. Look for Rainbow Runners, Yellowtail Snapper, Bigeye Jacks and lobster. Hammerheads swim between the pinnacle and arch.
Bird Island, Chatham Bay: Dove from Chatham Bay, southeast of Manuelita, this site provides a variety of marine life including Frog Fish, lobsters, morays, rays, White Tip Sharks and Hammerheads. There is even a cleaning station.
Dirty Rock: A large island with schools of Marble Rays and Hammerheads.
Lone Stone: Schooling Marble Rays and Mobula Rays.
Manuelita: The northeast corner has asheer wall. Lots of White Tips, Marble Rays and schools of Creoles.
Special Sightings: Whale Sharks, mating Eagle Rays, Sail Fish, mating White Tip Sharks, False Killer Whales.
Ubing Rock, Wafer Bay: This 300'rock begins at 20'and drops to a 110'sandy bottom. The southeast slope attracts schooling Hammerheads.

Package Inclusions: Package Inclusions: 8 or 10 nights on board the Wind Dancer, all meals and beverages, including alcohol, group bus transfers from San Jose to Puntarenas, 5 or 7 days of diving with up to four dives per day.

Plus Park Fees $175 - 8 night or $245 -10 night.
Guests will require a hotel night prior to embarkation in San Jose.

This rate has incorporated the Fuel Surcharge. However, a Fuel Surcharge may be added if fuel prices fluctuate beyond the programmed range for fuel included in this price.

NITROX FILLS (BASED ON AVAILABILITY) ARE NOT INCLUDED IN THE PACKAGE. NITROX DIVERS WILL BE CHARGED $150/7 NIGHT CHARTER, $200/10 NIGHT CHARTER, OR $10/FILL. NITROX FILLS, INSTRUCTION AND ALL OTHER SERVICES AND PURCHASES MADE ABOARD THE VESSELS ARE SUBJECT TO LOCAL TAXES.   • Step 1 - Check liveaboard, date and guest number availability via this booking request page.
  • Step 2 - An Agent Liveaboard team member will confirm your liveaboard availability via email and place your request on hold.
  • Step 3 - We will send you a Guest Information booking form, which will need to be returned with your personal data to confirm your trip.
  • Step 4 - We will send you an invoice and payment request. Payments are required within 7 days of booking to confirm your trip. We cannot guarantee your booking without payment. Last minute bookings will require immediate online payment.
  • Step 5 - Once payment is received we will supply your receipt and confirm any additional details regarding your trips logistics.
